Kwinana: soap dispenser trial starts at Adventure Park

Local resident Sarah Mittra called for the move after she was surprised to find new dispensers were not available.

“I can’t believe that at a venue with full-time grounds staff, a hireable party space, barbecue facilities and now food trucks, they are unwilling to provide soap,” Ms Mittra said.

Ms Mittra said the current situation was “pretty gross” and contacted the city last week.

“The Adventure Park is awesome; my kids love it and we always have a good time there,” she said.

“However, I’d like to know why the decision was made not to install soap dispensers in the toilets.

“It’s such a great facility, and if it has permanent ground staff, I don’t understand why there’s no soap.”

A City of Kwinana spokeswoman said the city had not supplied soap dispensers because of vandalism.

“However we are going to trial soap dispensers at the Adventure Park from Tuesday,” she said.

The trial will be reviewed after two months.
