Kwinana’s new Edge Skatepark set to open

THE opening of the $1.5m Edge Skatepark in Kwinana will be celebrated with heaps of fun activities.

There will be skateboarding, BMX, scooter and parkour coaching clinics, demonstrations and competitions.

Other features include DJs, a chillout zone, a photo booth and food trucks.

Edge Skatepark is on the corner of Gilmore Avenue and Harlow Road.

It is one of the biggest skateparks in WA.

Mayor Carol Adams said the City of Kwinana had received feedback that the state-of-the-art skatepark was one of the best facilities in the state.

The opening is on Saturday, October 7 from 11am to 4pm.
