Makybe Rise students getting down to business

MAKYBE Rise students have put their innovative new business ideas to paper after a week long challenge at the school.

In conjunction with Illuminate, students underwent the ‘nextgen’ challenge where years 3-6 students were placed in groups who then worked to together on a viable business proposition.

It included financial management, meeting deadlines, communication and responsibility.

One group had proposed to turn the old Masters Building into a Drama and Art Complex complete with gardens for artists and stages.

Running from September 19-23, the challenge involved 184 students completing the project at school and presenting their completed projects at a ceremony last Friday.

The challenge was timed to fit in with the school’s Student Success Week.
