Perth Royal Show awards the icing on cake for Port Kennedy mother and daughter

Isabelle (8) was awarded first place for six Toy Story-themed biscuits after she came second last year after choosing Australian animals for her theme.

“She loves baking and creating in the kitchen,” Mrs Milne said.

Each biscuit was decorated with different icing techniques.

Mrs Milne entered six chocolate and confectionery sections, notching two first places, three seconds, one third and a special award sash for exhibitor gaining most points.

“The chocolate sections included moulded chocolates with soft-centered fillings, rum balls, presentation boxes and a chocolate art creation,” she said.

Mrs Milne selected an underwater mermaid theme this year, complete with shells, seaweed, seahorses and sand, all made from chocolate and confectionery edible items.

Last year she won the sash for exhibitor, gaining most points in the chocolate and confectionery sections for her Anzac chocolate art creations.
