THE woman dubbed the Valentine Day’s thief failed to appear for her sentencing at the Rockingham Magistrates Court on August 22.
Tamika Jane Hymers had attended the court earlier in the morning, but by the time her name was called her lawyer discovered she had left the court building.
She was due to be sentenced on 10 charges that included stealing, trespass, gaining benefit by fraud, possessing methamphetamine and possessing drug paraphernalia.
Hymers had earlier pleaded guilty to all charges and has had numerous remands since she first appeared at Rockingham Magistrates Court on February 15.
She was arrested after the victims shared CCTV footage on social media of a woman running up to their veranda and taking a parcel. The parcel was a Valentine’s gift from David to Neroli, residents of the Port Kennedy home where the theft occurred.
Magistrate Leanne Atkins immediately issued an arrest warrant for Hymers.
