ROCKINGHAM shoppers are being encouraged to donate a gift to the Kmart Wishing Tree in the lead-up to Christmas.

Shoppers can take a ticket from the tree and buy a gift suitable to the gender and age of the recipient.

At the launch of the Kmart Wishing Tree, Salvation Army Lieutenant Darrell Wilson said many people were experiencing tough times.
