Taxi driver charged with indecent assault after Shoalwater incident

SEX Assault Squad officers have charged a 30-year-old taxi driver with unlawful indecent assault after an incident in Shoalwater.

Police claim a taxi driver collected a 24-year-old woman on Saturday, October 22about 4.20am.

It will be alleged during the journey the driver stopped the taxi and indecently assaulted the woman before taking her to her destination.

On Wednesday, November 2, Sex Assault Squad detectives charged a Baldivis man with one count of unlawful and indecent assault.

Gurjit Singh Sekhon appeared at Rockinbgham Magistrates Court with his lawyer today, where he pleaded not guilty to the charge of indecent assault.

He was bailed to re-appear on January 13 for a trial allocation date.
