ABOUT 20 Shoalwater residents awoke at the weekend to “amateurish” graffiti plastered over their property.

Police said the graffiti damage offences occured overnight on Saturday, July 16.

Rockingham officer in charge Senior Sergeant Brett Reyne said residents were affected primarily on roller doors and letterboxes.

He said there pictures of penises and described it as “amateurish, basic stuff”.

“They did not have any artistic flair at all,” he said.

Sgt Reyne believed this was a crime of opportunity.

Before the graffiti attacks a car containing six cans of spray paint was broken into.

The offences occurred around Elektra Terrace and Atrion Lane in Shoalwater.
