A 20-year-old Warnbro man has been arrested after an incident at Rockingham Shopping Centre this morning involving a machete.
Rockingham Detectives charged the man after receiving several reports of a man riding a motorcycle with a weapon strapped to his back.
It will be alleged police sighted the man in Waikiki and when he was directed to stop he accelerated away from police.

About 11:50am, the man abandoned his motorcycle at Rockingham Shopping Centre and went inside.
While running through the shopping centre the man threw his motorcycle helmet into a store and a machete into another store before being confronted by police and apprehended.
It is also alleged police found a meat cleaver in his waist band and an amount of drugs when searching the man.
The was been charged with reckless driving, failing to comply with a direction to stop, having no authority to drive, stealing a motor vehicle, cannabis and dexamphetamine possession, and being armed in a way which may cause fear.
He is due to appear in Perth Magistrates Court tomorrow.
