The Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre has been given a burst of colour with several artists painting murals on the building to celebrate Artscape Week.

Five mural installations were painted across the centre by Jack Bromell, Imogen Palmer, Joanna Brown, Andrew Frazer and Justin Martin.

They include a giant blue goanna and a colourful Aboriginal painting.

North Metropolitan Health Service chief executive Shirley Brown said it was great to see reactions from visitors as the murals were being painted.

“There has been very positive feedback from staff, patients and visitors as the murals have been evolving,” she said.

“The artwork will create a more vibrant and visually appealing campus for patients, visitors and staff.
