Cats the Musical a spectacle of colour

Cats the Musical a spectacle of colour

CATS the Musical is coming to Mandurah Performing Arts Centre.

Platinum Entertainment is back again to bring the hit musical Cats to life in Mandurah.

The fourth-longest running Broadway musical in theatre history, Cats will wow audiences in a spectacle for the senses featuring a live band, full choir, silks aerialists, roller skates and much more.

While the music stays true to the original score, gone is the traditional dark and gloomy alleyway set of previous productions, and in its place is colour, vibrancy and energy.

On just one special night of the year, all Jellicle cats meet at the Jellicle Ball where Old Deuteronomy, their wise and benevolent leader, makes the Jellicle choice and announces which of them will go up to The Heaviside

Layer and be reborn into a whole new Jellicle life.

The stage show follows Grizabella, Gus the Theatre Cat, the Rum Tum Tugger and many more quirky characters from TS Eliot’s Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats in a magical musical loved by all ages.

Cats the Musical will be brought to life with an incredible cast of professional and amateur talent from WA.

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s record-breaking, award-winning phenomenon has been reimagined for the local stage, showcasing a cast of West Australian talent including: Mikey Keith as Rum Tum Tugger, Dean Misdale (as

Feminem) as Old Deuteronomy and Paula Parore (The Voice Australia) as Grizabella.

Parore will perform alongside her husband and fellow The Voice Alumni, Clay Darius, as the enegetic narrator, Munkustrap.
