MANDURAH resident Hannah Hawkes will show her designs in the Future Runway show on September 14.
The Curtin University student will feature in the Costume Category of the Perth Fashion Festival event.
The show is part of the closing night of the festival at Fashion Paramount.
Hannah’s costume designs drew inspiration from renowned Japanese contemporary artist Yayoi Kusamas, who is well known for her signature use of spots and colour. Hannah translated this into her designs by including circles and pom poms, emphasising the concept of ‘fun’ that is associated with these design elements.
Hannah aspires to work in the constructional and technical fields of the fashion industry.
It is the first time her designs will be showcased in the Perth Fashion Festival.
