A SUPERMARKET, four drive-through fast food outlets, a petrol station, specialty stores and a car wash are coming to Furnissdale as part of a $30 million development.
The South West Joint Development Assessment Panel (JDAP) approved the application after the Shire of Murray also recommended approval.
The development is planned for the corner of Ronlyn Road and Pinjarra Road, opposite the Spud Shed and on the site of a former caravan park.

READ NOWThe Shire of Murray has been in discussion with developers Saracen Development for 12 months over the proposal.
Shire chief executive Dean Unsworth said the proposed development offered a number of economic benefits for Murray including job creation, stimulation of business opportunities and service provision for residents.
“It is consistent with our Furnissdale-Barragup Activity Centre policy in that it has the potential to act as a catalyst for further activation of the identified centre and development of an attractive and functional gateway to Murray,’’ he said.
Mr Unsworth said the Shire would continue to support representatives of the proponents in the realisation of a promising development for the district.
