A 5.6 magnitude earthquake rocks South-West

A 5.6 magnitude earthquake north of Walpole occurred at 1.05pm this afternoon.

Tremors were felt from as far away as Perth and Albany.

The earthquake was near Lake Muir, north of Walpole and 58km south-west of Kojanup.

The Bureau of Meteorology WA issued a statement that there was no threat of a tsunami from the earthquake.
