THE State Government has committed to a $5 million grant for an integrated health hub for at-risk youth in the Peel Region.

The new Peel Youth Medical Services Health Hub will provide mental health, homelessness, sexual health counselling and domestic violence assistance services to young people.

It will provide care for young people experiencing depression, anxiety or other health issues.

A grant agreement was put in place with preferred proponent GP Down South on June 30.

The funds will be used for preliminary designs, site works and construction.

The Federal Government and other stakeholders have also provided funding for the facility expected to be operational by January 2019.
