The Mandurah Oxfam group is holding stalls at the Smart Street Party on November 8, and the Boardwalk Markets on November 10 and 24.

The group sells a wide range of quality fair trade handcrafts sourced from artisan and women’s co-operatives in Peru, Guatemala, Paraguay, South Africa, India and Bangladesh, and neighbouring countries in South East Asia. Oxfam also has a delicious range of fair trade teas, coffees and chocolates.

‘All profits from the sale of goods, and money raised in raffles and donations, will go to the appeal for the Syrian crisis,’ Oxfam member Melissa Lee said.

Oxfam and Save the Children will hold a Christmas fair, Go Fair For Christmas, on December 1 from 10am to 3.30pm at the Bortolor Pavilion, Greenfields.

More than 16 different fair trade and overseas aid charities will be participating in the Christmas fair, including Carolia Charity with goods from their projects in Bali.

Save the Children hopes to raise $5m nationally for Syrian relief work, where almost 9 million Syrians are in need of urgent humanitarian assistance.

Donations are tax deductible and can be made at any of the Oxfam stalls, by phone 1800 088 110 or online at www.oxfam.org.au.
