A Madora Bay carpenter in running for national Tradie of the Year

A MADORA BAY carpenter is in the running to take out a national Tradie of the Year competition.

Well Measured Carpentry Mandurah owner Todd Mead is in the top 10 of the Home Timber and Hardware-run competition.

The annual competition could see Mr Mead win $25,000 in cash.

Mr Mead recently pledged to donate $20,000 of the cash to charity if he wins.

The carpenter is well known for his charity.

Mr Mead volunteered his team to help out on Channel 9 show Matt and Kim to the Rescue.

The show sees The Block finalists change families’ lives by renovating their homes.

Mr Mead has already won awards for trade safety and host trainer of the year.
