SIXTEEN teams from local nursing homes, hostels and day care centres competed in the Peel branch of the Seniors Recreation Council Live Lighter Peel Aged Care Games at Waroona Aquatic and Recreation Centre recently.

The winners were Amana Angels (Wearne House), with Brightwater the Cove, second, and Mandurah Social Centre, third.

The best presented team was from Care Options and the oldest participant was Bill Taylor (99), from the RAAFA Village.

The games, supported by the Shire of Waroona and Alcoa, who provided volunteers during the Alcoa Month of Service, are held every October on rotation throughout the Peel region.
