MANDURAH MLA David Templeman opened Mandurah’s second Aldi store in Aldgate Street last week.
A small queue developed before the opening in freezing conditions, warmed by a Make-a-Wish sausage sizzle.
Aldi Mandurah follows Aldi’s new store format with redesigned shelving and expanded wooden produce bays, as well as energy-efficient LED lighting and chillers.
Managing director Damien Scheidel said Aldi had been listening to customer feedback.
“While our customers can expect an enhanced shopping experience, the changes won’t impact our prices,’’ he said.
Aldi also opened at Halls Head Central last month.
