Andrew McKerrell new general manager of Peel Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Vanessa SchmittMandurah Coastal Times

ANDREW McKerrell is the new general manager of the Peel Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

In the role as acting manager, Mr McKerrell oversaw the Chamber team to successfully deliver two significant flagship events in the past three months: the ALCOA Peel Business Excellence Awards and the inaugural Future Proof Peel Business Conference.

A lack of regional funding and adequate sponsorship required Mr McKerrell and the team to be incredibly resourceful, proactive and agile to successfully deliver the two large-scale projects.

“Andrew has more than demonstrated the desired leadership skills and sound management practices to both anchor and transport the Peel Chamber well into the future and we all couldn’t be more delighted that he has accepted this new role with the enthusiasm often displayed when he embarks on his next challenge.”

Mr McKerrell will be assisted in his new role by membership officer Lindsay Stacpoole, projects and events officer Emma Barrington, marketing officer Jessica King and finance officer Shelley Baird.
