The retired Curtin University academic, with a passionate commitment to developing the potential of the Mandurah community, was awarded the 2012 John Curtin Medal.

She was recognised for her leadership in the field of occupational therapy, as well as her extensive contribution to developing cultural and educational opportunities in Mandurah.

For 10 years, she was also the chairwoman of Mandurah Performing Arts Centre.

The breakfast is at Mandurah Offshore Fishing and Sailing Club on Tuesday, March 8 at 6.45am for a 7am start.
