Body found in Bluff Knoll search for missing woman

SEARCH teams looking for a missing Mandurah woman have found a body in the Bluff Knoll area.

The identity is yet to be confirmed but the body is believed to be that of missing woman Lorjie Bautista.

She was last seen near Bluff Knoll about 4am on May 7.

“The body was located near the foot of a steep incline in a dense bush area, well away from public access trails,” Acting Inspector Paul Tolan said.

“The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions and the WA Police Force advise that the Bluff Knoll Road, carpark and walk trail remain closed to the public due to this police operation, until further notice.”

A land search operation has been underway at Bluff Knoll since Ms Bautista was reported missing.

Police and SES volunteers have also been searching the area with the assistant of helicopter and drone air assets.
