But lovers of bunnies will be delighted on October 31 when the club will be overrun with rabbits for Mandurah’s first WA Rabbit Council show.

Melanie Mackrill is a rabbit enthusiast who has “made the most amazing friends” through her involvement with the group.

“We breed to improve the breed,” she said.

Ms Mackrill has english spots, dutch rabbits, dwarf lops, mini lops and german lops.

She said children should bring their pet rabbits to the show and enter them in the noon judging session.

“We are looking for animals that are friendly. We ask the pet’s name, see if they have any special treats and ask them what they like to eat,” she said.

“It encourages children to get involved with pets.”

The club will have books available on rabbit’s health problems at the show.

There will also be a raffle to win seven nights accommodation in Bali or Thailand.
