FOUR Mandurah primary schools have embraced the Being Seen, Being Safe campaign to keep children safe on WA roads.
The program aims to positively influence driver behaviour and raise awareness of speed around schools. It is hoped about 1500 children will wear Being Seen, Being Safe vests to and from school.
The campaign started at Mandurah Primary School and was launched at South Halls Head Primary School on Friday.
Greenfields Primary School and North Mandurah Primary School will also be part of the campaign.
Students will take part in road safety workshops and WA Police will hold a road safety pledge.
Halls Head Central and Mandurah Forum donated to the program through donations to the centres’ money spinners.
Funds are also being raised from contributions from the community.
