A statement from Mr Hastie’s office said the event had been organised in response to significant feedback from the local community concerning the persecution of white South African farmers.

Members of the community will be able to raise any concerns they have directly with the minister.

Mr Hastie will also meet with leaders of local multicultural groups during his time in the Canning electorate.
