A centre cap from the left rim was left behind after the burnouts were finished on June 23.

Sgt Taylor said the cap matched up with the rims on the man’s sedan.

“The car still had mud and grass on the rims,” he said.

The man was charged with three counts of reckless driving and three of damage.

His car has been impounded for 28 days.

Sergeant Taylor said he was referred to the juvenile justice team because he was remorseful and handed himself in.
