Carlo cool in a crisis, recognised by St John

The Pinjarra resident was recognised for his exceptional service to the community.

He joined the St John Ambulance in 1963, becoming a member of the brigade and also a volunteer ambulance officer at the Pinjarra Sub-Centre.

Mr Capriotti served with the Pinjarra Combined Division for 27 years until it was disbanded in 1989.

He was the acting divisional superintendent between 1966 and 1971 and devoted countless hours to public duties.

At the Pinjarra Sub-Centre, Mr Capriotti became a grade two volunteer ambulance officer and was also a committee member for almost 50 years. He retired in 2013.

‘During his time with St John, Mr Capriotti’s level-headed approach to emergencies and his intelligent and sympathetic handling of casualties has proved to be invaluable,’ a St John spokesman said.

The Investiture was held on April 5 at the Government House Ballroom in Perth.
