The event is part of the annual Garage Sale Trail, which aims to promote re-use, reduce waste to landfill, create awareness about legal dumping and unite communities.

The college’s sustainability programs co-ordinator Barbara LeBreton believed the sale would benefit the community.

‘It will be a fun community event,’ she said.

‘It will be diverse, with students selling garden produce, while there should be some retro bargains on offer. It is an opportunity to de-clutter and get to know the neighbours.’

The sale will take place in the college’s car park with a $5 entry fee going towards the school’s annual volleyball trip interstate.

Sellers can set up at 7am for the 7.30am-noon event.

The college is on Catalina Drive, Lakelands.
