They were there to plant trees for an event that was part of the City’s annual staff tree planting program held in the lead-up to National Tree Day on July 30.

There will be other community tree planting sessions during June and July.

The annual event encourages staff to get outdoors and into nature, which has been proved to have health benefits.

Last year, 80 City of Mandurah staff helped plant more than 1200 estuarine plants.
