City of Mandurah to consider Cicerello’s additional alfresco area application

Jill BurgessMandurah Coastal Times

THE City of Mandurah will consider advertising an application from popular waterside eatery Cicerello’s for an additional alfresco area at its meeting tomorrow.

Owners Jetty Holdings already holds an alfresco licence with the City for an eating area and kiosk approved in 2010 and wants an extra 67 sq metres adjacent to its existing alfresco area.

A council report said Jetty had discussed the application with council officers during discussions regarding revitalisation of the city centre.

The report said the area had been so well used the owners had installed pontoon lighting for evening use and would add extra lighting should the application be approved.

Council officers will recommend advertising the application and, providing no submissions are received, a five-year licence be granted.

Cicerello’s has been established in Mandurah since 1998.
