Commuter chaos as Mandurah and Joondalup train lines experience delays

UPDATE: 8.51am – TRANSPERTH has said services are returning to normal on the Mandurah and Joondalup lines, after major delays this morning.

Earlier, Transperth told commuters to ‘consider alternative options’ to get to work as lengthy delays plagued the Mandurah train line.

Services on the Mandurah Line were delayed between Mandurah and Cockburn stations due to a technical issue.

Replacement bus services were in effect.

Limited trains will continue to run, however they will not be running to the regular schedule and there may be a considerable wait between trains.

There were also delays on the Joondalup line, with passengers at Butler station being told they could face delays of up to 10 minutes.
