Coodanup man (23) appears in court in relation to Mandurah pub and nightclub assault incidents

A COODANUP man appeared briefly in custody at Mandurah Magistrates Court today charged with two counts of grievous bodily harm after allegedly assaulting two men.

Logan Dixon (23) was not required to plead and was remanded in custody to reappear on Friday.

The duty lawyer told the court that Mr Dixon would be making a legal aid application.

Mr Dixon was charged following an investigation by Mandurah Detectives into two incidents where victims were assaulted.

Between 8pm on April 3 2015 and 7.45am on April 4 2015, a 22-year-old man was allegedly assaulted at the rear of a pub on Mandurah Terrace.

The victim received serious facial injuries and was taken to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment.

It will be alleged the second incident occurred about 2.30am on March 12 this year where a 42-year-old man was assaulted outside a nightclub also on Mandurah Terrace.

The victim suffered head injuries and bleeding to the brain.
