Coodanup woman charged after man found unconscious on Mandurah Road on Christmas Day

POLICE have charged a woman after a man was found unconscious on Mandurah Road on Christmas Day.

Mandurah Detectives will allege about 6.45pm on December 25 the man in his 40s was found on the northbound road between Pinjarra Road and Leslie Street in Mandurah.

It is believed the 18-year-old Coodanup woman hit him with a vehicle then left the scene, leaving his with serious injuries.

He was taken by ambulance to hospital for treatment.

The woman has been charged with driving a motor vehicle involved in an incident occasioning grievous bodily harm, failing to stop and ensure assistance received after the incident and failing to report it to police.

She is due to appear before the Mandurah Magistrates Court on February 15.
