Council candidate disappointed after campaign signs taken

CITY of Mandurah election candidate Bob Pond was left disheartened when his election signs were stolen.

“What surprised me, was how quickly they were taken,” he said.

Mr Pond put signs on Old Coast Road on Friday and they were gone by Sunday.

Mr Pond said he was disappointed because they cost him $300.

“I have no idea who took them,” Mr Pond said.

“Someone suggested it might be someone called Bob – but how many Bobs could there be?”

Mr Pond said the signs on private property had not been taken.

He is in the process of ordering four more signs.
