David Jones hosts job fair at Mandurah Forum

JOB seekers attended a career’s fair at Mandurah Forum today to learn about employment opportunities with David Jones.

David Jones will open at Mandurah Forum in early 2018 and job seekers to meet the recruitment team today to register their interest in working for the retailer.

Full time, part-time and casual opportunities are available at Mandurah Forum’s new David Jones store for candidates with experience or qualifications in beauty, fashion, home, food and drinks.

Leadership opportunities are also available.

“Mandurah Forum is proud to support David Jones in their search for a team of professionals to work in their highly anticipated Mandurah store,” Centre manager Jacqueline McKenzie said.

“David Jones opening their doors in early 2018 is not only exciting for our shoppers, but also for residents who would love the opportunity to work in a premium department store.”

Mandurah Forum’s David Jones store will offer shoppers a mix of fashion, beauty, accessories and home accessories, with a product assortment selected to suit Mandurah customers.

It is estimated that the Mandurah Forum redevelopment will create 1000 jobs during construction and more than 700 ongoing retail, hospitality and service jobs at the completed centre.

“Our team is proud to be making a difference to the Peel region’s employment by recruiting a local workforce for our growing centre,” Ms McKenzie said.

The David Jones Careers Fair follows Mandurah Forum’s Jobs Fair earlier this year, which provided the opportunity for job seekers to meet 15 retailers who had more than 100 jobs available.

Thousands showed up to that fair on June 8.

Mandurah Forum will host a third fair next year.

More details about the next fair and available roles will be posted on Mandurah Forum’s website and Facebook page closer to the date.
