MANDURAH’S David Jones store is set to open tomorrow and will be the first in WA to house the fashion giant’s new contemporary interior and store format.

David Jones chief executive David Thomas said the store would bring an elevated level of customer service to Mandurah.

“It’s more than a new interior – it’s part of our new strategy,” he said.

“We have an elevated level of service in the store, new contemporary beauty services and I think customers should expect and hope to see more than just a new look store but a totally new David Jones store.”

Mr Thomas said the store would play an important role within the Mandurah community.

“David Jones will bring the best of local and international brands in fashion, beauty and homewares to the Peel region,” he said.

“The new look and feel of the store and high engagement in digital has allowed to us to bring something Mandurah has never seen before.”

WA Regional manager of David Jones stores Michael Moorgev said everything was “on schedule” and set for opening.

“David Jones will serve complimentary barista coffee from Friday to Sunday for any customers that buy in store,” he said.

“The first 100 customers to walk through the doors will receive a David Jones gift bag.

“We will carry that excitement through the night and we will have a DJ and sparkling wine as well as special offers which we will lunch on Thursday and will go through to Sunday.”
