Courtney Hollins has made the top 6 of the NYX face awards

DAWESVILLE make-up artist Courtney Leigh Hollins has made the finals of American makeup label NYX Cosmetics #FaceAwards.

The freelance businesses woman said she is “exhausted” but excited to be in the finals.

“I couldn’t sleep last night and I was up at 5am,” she said.

Ms Hollins five-year-old daughter starred as the victim in her finale making video.

Ms Hollins said she was shocked she made it to the finals.

“The other contestants have a larger social media following,” she said.

“But heaps of people are sharing and voted.

“I did a live feed yesterday and I had heaps of people I don’t know crying over me.”

Ms Hollins started painting her “artsy” creations about two-and-a-half-years-ago.

She has a diploma in specialist makeup and but discovered her artistic talents at the age of four.

Since her creations began going viral, Ms Hollins has become “Mandurah famous”.

“I get recognised downtown now,” she said.

“They say you’re the girl who does the painting.

“Mandurah’s been amazing.”

Ms Hollins had to win three heats to make it to the finals.

The first heat saw her create Storm, the second was a Mad Max character and the third a dreaming in candy theme.

The looks had to be created using NYX products.

Ms Hollins said she’s determined to do Mandurah proud in Melbourne.

She will have to create a look inspired by the theme “royal”.

“It’s full on and crazy,” she said.

“But it’s good to get recognised for what I do.”

Ms Hollins is the only WA contestant to make it to the finals.

The winner will be decided by a judging panel and announced on July 8.

“It will be amazing if a girl from Dawesville takes it out,” she said.
