DAWESVILLE MLA Zac Kirkup recently hosted Opposition commerce spokesman Michael Mischin for a number of community meetings.

Mr Kirkup said Mr Mischin was focused on listening to residents living in lifestyle villages across Mandurah and any tenancy concerns or experiences they had.

Mr Kirkup said he was regularly contacted about issues in lifestyle villages and it was a valuable opportunity for Mr Mischin to listen to the concerns of the Mandurah community.

“We both intend to reflect those concerns in our future policy considerations and debate on legislation,’’ Mr Kirkup said.

Last July, the State Government announced a review of the Residential Park (Long stay) Tenants Act 2006 which meant State Parliament would be dealing with possible amendment legislation in the coming session.

Mr Kirkup discussed the upcoming review with Mr Mischin and local residents.

“I will be working hard to ensure any legislation the Parliament agrees to best reflects the concerns of the Mandurah community and those residents in lifestyle villages,’’ he said.

He said any residents wishing to share their lifestyle village experiences or issues should contact him or 9534 3200 or zk@kirkup.com.au.
