Dawesville MLA Zak Kirkup is giving away shopping bags

WITH the single-use plastic bag coming into effect on July 1, and the bags already banned at Woolworths, Dawesville MLA Zak Kirkup has been handing out free reusable bags at local shopping centres.

“We have teams of volunteers out and about making sure people know about the ban but also giving them re-usable ones,’’ he said.

“I love Mandurah and we thought there was nothing more iconic than a crab to put on the bag – which is how we’ve ended up with this design that has been incredibly popular.
