Nextra Forum West Newsagency in Mandurah sold the winning $521,827 Division 1 Lotto ticket for Saturday night’s draw.

Nextra Forum West Newsagency owner Jenny Cornish said she was excited about their second Division 1 win for the year and that it’s brought a great buzz to the Mandurah community.

“Our last winners were regular customers so it was really fun to share the excitement with them,” she said.

“Hopefully our newest winners are regulars too, but you never know with all the people travelling around Mandurah.

“Our aim now is to squeeze another Division 1 win in before the year is out; we’re going to try for Powerball or OZ Lotto this time.”

A second winning ticket was also sold at The Lucky Charm Midland.

For both stores, the weekend’s success is a continuation on their already strong Lotto reputation with Nextra Forum West Newsagency selling a Division 1 Lotto ticket less than seven months ago and The Lucky Charm Midland selling a Set for Life 1st Prize only four months ago.

“We didn’t expect another big winner so soon so this was certainly a terrific surprise,” said The Lucky Charm Midland manager Cheryl Wild.

“Our store is part of The Lucky Charm group and we all seem to be doing well this year; we sell a lot of lucky Lotto tickets.

“You know what they say about things coming in threes, I’d say we’re in for our third big winner for this year soon.”
