City seeks to name Dudley Park reserve in honour of much-loved environmentalist

Jill BurgessMandurah Coastal Times

THE City of Mandurah wants to name a Dudley Park reserve in honour of a local environmentalist and volunteer.

It wants Landgate to name a reserve in Sharperton Meander as the Shirley Joiner Reserve.

The reserve holds environmental significance with an endangered flora species and is in what was Mrs Joiner’s home suburb.

The City said there had been overwhelming support for the naming proposal.
