A DWELLINGUP man will face court on July 1 for drug offences, where police will allege children were attending the man’s home and leaving with packages.
Dwellingup Police received information from concerned members of the community alleging the children, who were as young as 13, were attending a house before school and leaving with packages.
Officers investigated the possible illicit drug activity taking place at the McLarty Street property.
Inquiries led them to believe an occupant of the home was involved in a number of stealing and burglary incidents in the area.
Just after 9am on Wednesday June 9, officers from Dwellingup and Pinjarra Police Stations, and Mandurah Detectives executed a search warrant on the McLarty Street home.
It will be alleged during the search police located and seized two hydroponics setups containing 37 cannabis plants, approximately 10 grams of cannabis material and drug paraphernalia.
A 57-year-old Dwellingup man was charged with cultivating a prohibited plant with intent to sell or supply and possessing a prohibited drug.
He is due to appear in the Mandurah Magistrates Court on July 1.
Proceeds of Crime officers are conducting further inquiries in relation to possible assets obtained due to trafficable amount of prohibited drugs.
