THE community has dug deep to provide funds for a new garden for people living with dementia at Alzheimer’s WA’s Ella House in Greenfields.
Thanks to a generous donation from local business owners John and Bella Perry, Alzheimer’s WA has turned a dream into reality and built a dementia-friendly landscaped garden.
The garden project was also supported by donations and services from Village Manager Settlements, Ingenia Communities, the local community and City of Mandurah.

The new garden, officially opened today, will ensure clients can enjoy the outdoor space by optimising the helpful and sensory stimulations including tending the vegetable garden, looking after the chickens or listening to the birds from the gazebo.
