Exchange Hotel Development Goes to Tender

Rachel FennerMandurah Coastal Times

THE Shire of Murray has released an artist’s impression of the Exchange Hotel site.

It is seeking expressions of interest for the development and use of the site as a food and beverage outlet.

The Shire would like the proposed developers to restore and reuse the heritage components of the site as part of the redevelopment, which uses surrounding spaces and reinforces the character of the town.

“The Shire is seeking proposals which will deliver a balance of these desired outcomes,” chief executive Dean Unsworth said.

“Pinjarra is currently the focus of significant revitalisation and will benefit over the next few years from substantially planned public investment in streetscapes, community buildings, public spaces and the river foreshore, all aimed at enhancing the popularity and attractiveness of the town.

“This site forms an integral part of this revitalisation project.”

Expressions of Interest close on April 30.

The successful tender will be appointed in December.
