Expect road closures during Mandurah’s Ironman 70.3

ROAD closures will affect parts of Mandurah and Rockingham during the annual Mandurah Ironman 70.3 event this weekend.

Sunday’s race begins around 6am at Sutton Farm and is expected to finish at 9.45am at the eastern foreshore.

Mandurah Road, Ennis Avenue, Watersun Drive and Stakehill Road southbound will be closed from 5am to 1pm.

Mandurah Terrace, Tuckey Street, Mandurah Road, Gibson Street, Old Mandurah Bridge, Leighton Road and Mary Street will be closed from 5am to 1pm.

Boaters are reminded that temporary canal closures will be in place between Sutton Farm and Halls Cottage from 5am until 9.30am on Sunday for the swim leg of the triathlon.

Nine car parks will be closed including, Mandurah Terrace Parking Precinct, both Boardwalk Parking Stations, Sholl Street car parks near Woolworths and near Pinjarra Road, there will be restricted access to the Halls Head Dome car park and on Halls Head Parade.

Saturday’s Ironkids event begins after 8am and finishes at 9.30am on Saturday, November 7.

Parts of Mandurah Terrace and Cooper Street will be closed between 7am and 10am.

The event attracts hundreds of competitors from around the world to Mandurah during November.
