Experience the NBN

It’s the NBN Experience Centre and Telstra hopes residents will take a hands-on journey into the broadband fast lane.

‘The NBN will transform the home and the Experience Centre will bring it to life for local people,” area general manager Nicola Swarbrick said.

‘The introduction of the NBN will see the family home turbo-charged with amazing levels of connectivity, communication and entertainment,” she said.

The centre is set out like a lounge room and allows visitors try out services live on the NBN.

Customers can stream Fox Sports over the internet using a T-Box, play games online and make calls on an internet-connected T-Hub 2.

The centre is staffed by experts who explain how NBN broadband and voice technology work and how products like landline phones, tablets, smart phones and games consoles will operate on the new network.

NBN services are already available to around 1000 homes and businesses in Mandurah. The centre is open until Friday.
