VISITORS are able to discover the beautiful Peel Region on full day coach tours starting in June, with the tour company Explore Tours Perth.
The venture was made possible with the help of Mandurah and Peel Tourism Organisation (MAPTO), who assisted the tour company with the itinerary, connected Explore Tours Perth with local businesses and provided imagery and video footage of the region.
MAPTO chief executive Karen Priest was excited about the exposure the tours will provide for the region.
“The Peel Region Discovery Day Tour is a fantastic way to showcase the destination and it will bring visitors here on a regular basis, creating additional business for the local operators as well as increasing the awareness of our beautiful and diverse region,” she said.
The full day tour features Lake Clifton and the Thrombolites, morning tea at Cape Bouvard Winery, Waroona with time to explore Drakesbrook Antiques, Pinjarra including lunch at Redcliffe on the Murray, Edenvale Homestead and finishing at Cafe on the Dam at Serpentine Dam.
Explore Tours Perth managing director Adam Saunders said he was amazed by the impressive natural attractions and great places the Peel region has to offer.
“We are always keen to show our customers authentic and new places that can be accessed in a short time from Perth,” he said.
“The Peel region is ideal because our customers get to see a lot of different attractions on their tour and they don’t have to sit on the bus for many hours.”
The first Peel Region Discovery Day Tour will be on June 15 and 18.
There are three pick-up locations – north, south and central Perth.
