Falcon: Australian Hearing Bus stopping by for free hearing checks

Jill BurgessMandurah Coastal Times

THE Australian Hearing Bus is stopping by Falcon to offer free hearing checks and raise hearing health awareness.

The 12-strong fleet of blue and white buses has provided more than 94,000 free hearing checks since it was first launched in 2009.

Australian Hearing Bunbury manager Blanche Coyle said that because age-related hearing loss developed gradually, it was common for people to be unaware the hearing was diminishing.

As well as a hearing check, visitors to the bus can find information on a range of common hearing issues and view a display of easy-to-use devices around the home.

The hearing bus will be at Falcon e-library and community centre on Friday, September 29 between 9.30am and 3.30pm.
