Families’ feud suspected in night brawl

A BRAWL involving up to 70 people, believed to be two families feuding, broke out at the basketball courts in Mandurah last night.

Police were called to a disturbance outside the basketball courts on Pinjarra Road at 6.40pm and found about 60 to 70 people fighting.

It is believed the incident stemmed from ongoing issues between two families.

Another disturbance involving about 15 people linked to the previous groups occurred outside a home on Duncan Street in Coodanup at about 9.30pm.

Police said there were no reports of injuries and no arrests have been made at this time.

The investigation into the two incidents is ongoing.
