Family, friends cheer Dot’s 90th

Many of the guests marked the milestone by sharing stories, such as the best lollies to be found in Grandma's lolly jar.

Mrs Mell has lived in Mandurah since 1979 and has made many longstanding friends.

She has been involved in many clubs, such as Save the Children Fund, Probus, Mandurah Organ Club and arts and crafts groups.

Mrs Mell also used to visit schools to discuss her childhood memories, and is best known as the first librarian at Glencoe Primary School.

She has three children and eight grandchildren.
